At Museum Night, the thing I will remember the most is Room 17's Paper Making Display. I really liked it because I was a docent and it was so much fun! But I was really nervous, so nervous in fact that I was actually shaking. At the end though, Mrs. Pound said I did great! That made me feel really good inside and outside! So that's why I will always remember Museum Night.

Museum Night was so much fun! Guess why? I was a docent. A docent means that you get to share and demonstrate what you know about something you learned in class. I demonstrated how we made paper in Room 17 this year. Paper was one of China's most famous inventions.
Let me tell a little more about how we did it. First step is to cut the paper into small strips. The next thing you do is soak the paper in a bucket of water for about 5 minutes. Then step three is to put it in a blender and chop it up. Step four is easy, just pour it into a big tub of water. Now it is called slurry. Last thing, you take a screen and dive under the water. Then just let the slurry dry on the screen in the sun and you will have a nice sheet of paper. It was awesome being a docent and sharing what I learned about paper making from the ancient chinese.
