Welcome to our new website. If you just ate lunch, I'm warning you, you might not have the guts to read this article. Ha! Ha! Just kidding! But our class had fun touching a real dead fish!! The reason we learned about fish and fish anatomy is because it is one of our amazing science standards. We had to practice and practice so we could be docents at Museum Night and share what we learned.
You are probably wondering what kind of fish we used for this cool project. Rainbow trout and tilapia were our lucky victims. What facts did we learn? We learned some interesting terms, such as the lateral line which tells the fish when it is close to an obstacle. It is located on the side of the fish. It also has a membrane under the gill so when it takes in water, it can breathe the oxygen. I sure hope you haven't eaten yet, because I might have grossed you out. SQUISH SQUISH BLOOD COMES OUT! But I hope not!
